Nice job of cleaning out and making your fireplaces look good. This winter your can sit down with a cup of tea, a good book. and a warm fire.

No fire.. both are closed up. By the way, don't paint your fireplace if you plan to keep using it. But a warm cup of tea? I'm all in. 😄

I'm like you! I can't work amidst clutter unless it's for writing. Clutter gnaws at me to dispose of it before I can get down to business, addressing my detectives' demands.

I so agree! I've taken everything off the walls too! I can't wait to share my new office with you!

I love a good before and after photo for home decorating and you gave us two in this post. Love the way those fireplaces turned out! I'm in the middle of a major clean out of the closet of my office, which had once been my daughter's bedroom. I've just been sliding my bookish stuff on on the floor while her things take up the hanging space and many of the shelves. But now that her house is bigger than mine, she's sorting through prom dresses, sports memorabilia and more. It feels so good to have that space reclaimed, but my bookshelves have become a jumble of other things these days, too. This might be a good end of year project!!

Great Idea! My donation pile of gently used things is growing. I'm making way for new books and new ideas. Reclaiming an entire closet? How wonderful! What will you use it for?
