I'm building up the courage to approach bookstores like a traveling salesman!

Go for it Galit! Try shops in Colorado first. Less daunting that the Chicago book sellers.

Good for you for supporting your local bookstores! Bookstores NEED all the support they can get, and a lot of authors fail to put themselves in the owners' shoes. Thanks for mentioning The Port of Destiny. I'm so glad you're enjoying it! And Ivy and Moon are just the most adorable, cuddly fur babies ever! p.s. Safe Keeping is a real tour de force! Your readers are going to LOVE it!

Congrats on the BookBub deal and on getting some of your books into indie bookstores. I've managed to get a few of mine into two here in San Diego, but they don't carry them forever since there are so many authors and so little bookshelf space. I need to get up the courage to try for more. Brava to you for doing that and sharing your process! Thanks for your reading and watching list and for the cute kitties' photos.

Takes guts to cold call, and your results are actually quite good. Did you try other places, such as independent coffee houses or gift shops? That's worked for me.

Thanks Sheila, not yet! But I did go into Barnes and Noble!

As long as your books are returnable, B&N are often interested and willing to host a signing.

Way to put yourself out there! Making connections always matters. Keep it up and super congrats on the Bookbub deal! I read Mother Daughter Murder Night and enjoyed it a lot.

Oh Good- I had to skip the chapter with the brain scan... It needed a trigger warning for me.

Oh goodness, Tracey. I'm sorry I didn't think of that.
